FAQs
Why does the City need a new Waste Local Law?
The City does not currently have a Waste Local Law, which makes the administration of waste services and related matters problematic.
To manage this the City is currently using the refuse provisions of the City’s Health Local Law which will be repealed in its entirety when the Public Health Act 2016 comes into full effect.
The purpose of this Waste Local Law is to assist the City of Subiaco in administering sustainable waste and recycling services to maintain consistent, cost effective and functional waste management practices.
Will residents and businesses notice any change to their waste collection services?
Residents and businesses will not notice any change to their waste collection services as a result of the new local law. More information about bins, recycling and waste services can be found on the City's website.
