Master planning underway
The Subiaco East Community reference group (CRG) will undertake meetings from February 2020 to June 2020 in various formats (due to the changing COVID-19 situation).
Subi East represents one of the most significant urban redevelopment projects undertaken in Perth, involving the rejuvenation of 35 hectares of land into a thriving and connected inner-city hub.
The redevelopment area incorporates the former Princess Margaret Hospital, land around Subiaco Oval, and the new Bob Hawke College, together with West Leederville train station and the surrounding railway reserve land. Following significant community input in 2018 and 2019, the project is now beginning the Master Planning Phase.
The Master Plan will provide the foundations for the agreed land use, location of key facilities and public places and amenities. It will be the basis from which more detailed development plans can be established.
As part of the Master Planning of the Subi East redevelopment, DevelopmentWA are working to understand the importance of the area from a historical and narrative perspective.
