At the City of Subiaco we encourage community involvement to help inform our decision making and we invited you to participate in consultation for Rosalie Park Mix Use Community Sporting Facility.
The City of Subiaco is demolishing the old cricket nets and scoreboard. Removal of these will allow for the construction of a new community mix use sporting facility; demolition is scheduled for mid-March 2021. The City sought comment on the proposed plan before finalising the design.
The proposed features are:
tennis half-court with hit-up wall and lacrosse goal markings
full size netball and basketball hardcourt
two new cricket nets
shed
community garden/orchard
new landscaping to the embankment
new park benches
concrete kerb
outdoor ping pong table
As well as new tree planting and space for future exercise and recreation equipment (stage two).

Rosalie Park is set to get a lighting upgrade and a new mixed-use sporting area, after Council gave the projects the green light at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 24 August 2021. You can read more on the City's website.

Update: mix-use sports area is go!
This project was approved and stage one of the mix-use sporting area was open in March 2022 and has been proving very popular. Thank you to all those who completed the survey and provided feedback.
Keep an eye out for stage two works which will be undertaken in 2023.
