The City of Subiaco values opportunities for our community to be active and get outdoors.
Over the years the City has received numerous requests for a pump track to be constructed to facilitate an alternative recreational activity to those currently available. Both the City'sPublic Open Space Planand Rosalie Park Master Planspeak to increasing passive recreation activities at Rosalie Park.
In April/May 2023 we undertook a pulse survey to gauge community support for a recreation pump track, planned to be located in the north-east corner of Rosalie Park Reserve (see location photo in photo gallery).
This area has a natural bowl shape with a grassy terrain and mature trees. The pump track will work with the natural environment to retain all trees, with the track built around the existing trees. The natural bowl will enable a pump track to be constructed with minimal excavation.
The intent is to construct a modest pump track built of organic materials, that flows through the natural landscape.
