Consultation has concluded and Nicholson Road ecozone works are complete.

Ecozone Visualisation, Nicholson Road Reserve

At the City of Subiaco we encourage community involvement to help inform our decision making and we invite you to participate in consultation for the Nicholson Road Reserve landscape plan.

About the project

Works to Nicholson Road Reserve were completed as an action of the Environmental Plan, consistent with all parks and reserves in the city. These involved replacing sections of turf with ecozones and garden beds and adding native plants, creating better functional spaces in terms of parks maintenance, creating a physical barrier along Thomas Road and improved overall aesthetics.

Following community concerns after these works where completed, the City decided to appoint an appropriately qualified landscape architect with heritage experience to provide a landscape plan for the whole site which addresses the biophysical, social and heritage elements of the reserve, including future planning for habitat restoration.

The landscape plan is available to view in the Document Library.

How can I be involved?

This landscape plan is currently unfunded and this consultation seeks to help inform future budget considerations and decision making by Councillors.

Please view the landscape plan in the Document Library section at the top right hand side of this page and make comment by 5pm Wednesday 9 March 2022.
